A Republican state legislator named Sally Kern from Oklahoma has come under considerable pressure after some ill-advised, hyperbolic and dare we say inaccurate statements about the threat posed by the apocalyptic scourge of ... homosexuality. Leave it to Ellen to puncture the comments with a mix of seriousness, grace and humor. Watch as she calls to try to talk to the representative, who by the way says she isn't sorry and that she has received death threats because of the comments (though this is apparently a questionable claim). Oh, and she actually has a gay son herself. Bet he feels great about himself.

1. Did the Senator promise any special rights? Did she propose to not represent all her constituents as a whole?
Oh, I get it. She didn't offer any bonuses because of being gay or black, so she should keep her opinion to herself.
It's sad that in this day and age that an elected official can't speak their position whithout somebody feeling left out, when there's be no proof of it.
I'm not so certain the Senator is way off base. Look at the moral decline of America. The liberals are the new thought police. Have an opinion? Better ask gloria steinem, the "reverend" hi-jackson, al not-so-sharp sharpton, anyone that knows a gay person, or some other bleeding heart if your own opinion may upset someone.
I'm sure this is what the founding fathers had in mind--and why they were so successful...

3. Does Senator Kern have ANY rights to her opinions ? Yes, she does represent other peoples opinions and that just might be the majority in her constituents thinking. And she mentions she has a gay son and gets more derision for that, but Dick Cheneys daughter, well THATS different right ? No criticism for her. This reminds me of the "Al Sharpton manuever". Only criticize OTHER people. Don Imus says "HO" and gets fired, but when Obamas pastor Wright says "God damn America, over and over and has a whole audience whooping for joy, Al Sharpton does his other manuever......a disapearing act !

7. If one says that homosexuality is wrong and that people will suffer the consequences from being GAY then people like Ellen will start causing you problems.
Everyone needs to look at where we are at now. People will murder another simply for a few dollars, with absolutely no regards or respect for others.
Years ago a person could leave their doors unlocked and no one would even consider entering anothers home.
People would have a gun rack in their truck or carry a knife in their pocket with no thoughts of using it to committ a violent act.
Children are sexually mollested with no thoughts of how they will suffer mentally in their future.
If we do not change our ways, which includes homosexuality,murder, child molestation,disrespecting our elders, and an entire plethora of items we are all doomed to a fate much worse than death. As usual thogh, none of you will listen or care. I will do as I please and no one, not even GOD can stop me.
Do just what you want. Wait until you die and see what happens to you. I am very sorry for those that do not wise up and stop their wicked ways.

8. Amanda, when you become an elected official, your personal opinions are no longer personal, especially when you voice them in public. I'm not gay and I don't really agree with a gay life style but if we were all the same, wouldn't life be boring. It takes all kinds to make the world go round. And if you and the senator think that gays are the "decline of America" both of you are way off base! Do you not think that the gang bangers are one of the biggest contributers of the decline of America? We've taken prayer out of school and children aren't even allowed to salute the American flag, and you think gays are the pitfall, please! The wonderful senator has a gay son and if she turns her back on her own child, what do you think she would do for all of the people she's suppose to be helping?????? That ought to make you stop and think for a while!

9. Elen is reacting to the truth. She knows that same sex lovers will produce nothing but more self. If you beleive in God and creation or Darwin's theroy of evolution, same sex relationships produce nothing.
In 50 years, all that Elen and her "mate" will have produced, is two piles of dust. There will be no one to carry on life.
This is with no adoption and no one else bearing a baby for them. Just two of the same sex. Life will stop when they die.
50 same sex couples on an Island, 100 years later, 100 piles of dust no life (at least human) will be found. The gay agenda fights to recruit so hard, because they cannot propagate themselves.

CRYBABIES! not really you so called straight people need to pull your head out of your A** this country is full of gays who lead regular lives and raise straight peoples children, when they simply disguard them so they can move on with there lives and breed more children until they feel they can get it right!yes we want to be treated fairly and it is a lifestyle that IS NOT WRONG.Look at all the children in foster/adoption program if this country tried to do something about this problem rather than worry if GAY is right or wrong there would be alot more children with good homes.Im sure that all these kids were concieved by "striaght people" this PLANET is a mess with hunger/war/homeless people lets just IGNORE all that and worry about TAX PAYING gays wanting to be treated fairly.POLITICIANS NEED TO GIVE UP THERE PERSONAL VIEWS AND LOOK OUT FOR THE GOOD OF ALL AMERICANS.NOT JUST WHAT THEY FEEL IS THE CORRECT LIFESTYLE!

14. Sally Kern is absolutley right. The Bible implicitly says that God hates gay behavior,Leviticus 18:22 Romans 1:27, and that this type of behavior will become rampent and publicly accepted right before the end of times, or the second coming of Christ,1 Corinthians 6:9 . How can any society expand with out creating offspring. The last time I heard offspring is created from a man and a woman. It also says in the bible that Christian fundmentals will be persecuted,Matthew 10:22 right before all others are cast into a lake of fire and torment forever. By the way, forever means that after a billion years of pain, sorrow, and utter lonleiness, you are no closer to being released from the dark abyss than you were the very first minute you arrived. I hope and pray Ellen and others who are lost figure this out, and find the way. Satan has a firm grasp, and he is so clever that people who are in that grasp have no idea, he makes it feel right. I am a fan of God.

15. Ellen Degenerate should not be casting stones. She's the one who is "homophobic." Homophobia is, by definition, the fear of men, NOT of homosexuals. She's admitted that she fears men. That's why she practices homosexualism. Homosexuals are NOT gay, by and large they are SAD. Yes, words do matter and "Gay" is a dishonest propaganda term used to cover up the putridness of homosexual practices, which are medically linked to over 100 diseases, illnesses and mental disorders, according to the Center for Disease Control. Homosexualism should rightly be dealt with as a serious public health problem which costs American taxpayers millions in Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security disability payments.
